Proverbs 3

Proverbs 3:5-6.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (NASB).

Trust: The root word in Hebrew means, to come to for refuge; To be sure of; To be confident in; To hope in; To rest secure in.

“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and He will lead you wherever you go.” (Passion Translation).

Lean: To support oneself; To rely on; To rest one’s weight against something; To trust in.

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart. Don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go. He’s the One who will keep you on track.” (Message).

Understanding: Comprehension; Discernment; Wisdom; Moral perception; Insight; Viewpoint.

“Be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways know and recognize Him, and He will direct you and make plain your paths.” (Amplified).

Acknowledge: To know intimately; Practical action based on one’s knowledge; To be aware of and recognize; To accept and confirm.

“Trust wholeheartedly in Yahweh, put no faith in your own perception. Acknowledge Him in every course you take, and He will see that your paths are smooth.”
