Gospel Song – Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus
Gospel Song – Can’t Nobody Do Me like Jesus.
Andrae Crouch (1942-2015), the composer of this classic, was a highly influential musician in gospel music, especially during the 1960’s and 1970’s. He had the gift of incorporating a contemporary secular style with traditional gospel. Crouch helped bring a modern musical sensibility into the church at large, and he went a long ways toward bridging the gap between black and white Christian music. He collaborated with such musicians as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Billy Preston. His songs were covered by people like Bob Dylan Paul Simon and Elvis Presley. Andrae composed music scores for many films, including The Color Purple and The Lion King. Andrae Crouch won a total of 7 Grammy awards, and was called the “father of modern gospel music” back in the day. His songs are still being sung, and his influence continues.

LYRICS – Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus
Can’t nobody do me like Jesus,
Can’t nobody do me like the Lord.
Can’t nobody do me like Jesus,
He’s my friend.
He picked me up, turned me around,
picked me up, turned me ’round,
He picked me up, turned me around,
He’s my friend.
He healed my body, then told me to run on,
healed my body, told me to run on,
He healed my body, then told me to run on,
He’s my friend.
