Proverbs 14:31.

“You insult your Maker when you exploit the powerless; when you are kind to the poor, you honor God.” (Message).

“He who withholds what is due to the poor affronts his Maker; he who shows pity for the needy honors Him.”  (Tanakh).

“He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.” (NKJ).

“Insult your Creator, will you? That’s exactly what you do every time that you oppress the powerless! Showing kindness to the poor is equal to honoring your Maker.” (TPT).
